Krystle Crimmins addressed us at a recent meeting on the topic of Epilepsy First Aid

Krystle has launched out on her own after finding that employers do not wish to hire people who admit to having epilepsy. She spoke courageously about her endeavours to encourage awareness in all sectors of society about the 8 main types (out of 300 or so) of epilepsy. To that end she has authored an easy to read and understand book showing what to do if you are with someone who suffers from a seizure of some type. If you wish to learn more about this you can purchase a book from her or look on line at www.epilepsyfirstaid.com

PRESS RELEASE – 9th March 2018

Time to school-up on Epilepsy.

One person in 20 will have an epileptic seizure at some time in their life. The World Health Organisation states that “Epilepsy is the most common serious brain disorder worldwide with no age, racial, social class, national nor geographic boundary.”

Yet, the condition is often misunderstood.

Wellingtonian, Krystle Crimmins, says she’s often encountered a kind of fear toward the condition. She’s written a guide to dispel the myths around Epilepsy.

She knows her subject. She lives with Epilepsy.
